Brugge (Bruges) · Kasteel ten Berghe · Mr Luc-Paulus Hindryckx
Bed and breakfast
Luc Hindryckx is mad about castles, and has rented and converted ten Berghe Castle into top-of-the-range guest accomodation. The castle was rebuilt in the Gothic Revival style in the nineteenth century and is surrounded by a lake and a beautiful park with a long tree-lined drive. You cross a pretty bridge to enter the house, which retains its Gothic Revival interior, furniture, ornaments and paintings. The eight spacious, beautiful guest rooms are on the first floor and are decorated in the same style, as are the comfortable en-suite bathrooms. The three rooms are named after castles that belonged to the van Caloen family: Spontin, Waasmunster and Moregem. A generous buffet breakfast is served in the sumptuous dining room with its impressive fireplace and small polychromatic side chapel. A top-notch place for fans of castle life, a stone's throw from the marvels of Bruges.
