Bed and breakfast
Alexander and Raphaëllea fell in love with this charming half-timbered 1920s house the first time they saw it, here in the quiet, residential Woluwé district. They bought it and comprehensively renovated it and converted part of it into a B&B, as they had dabbled in running a B&B in the past and had enjoyed it. The two guest bedrooms are flooded with natural light and certainly do not lack charm. One is on the ground floor, with a bay window overlooking the front garden and the other is on the first floor at the back of the house with a balcony.. Raphaëlle has enjoyed decorating them in soft hues, with wooden floors, wicker furniture and embroidered linen. Each has an en-suite bathroom. Breakfast is served at a large table in the dining room and includes freshly-baked rolls and croissants fetched by Alexander from the local bakery. In the warmer months, guests can enjoy the terrace and the garden, and, in the near future, a swimming pool. Nearby are a sports centre, cycle trails, a shopping centre, a park and museum. The city centre is a 15-20-minute metro ride away. The overall atmosphere is simple, friendly and familial.
