Bed and breakfast

Behind the facade of this beautiful traditional-style family house is hidden a resolutely contemporary-style Bed & Breakfast with some exotic touches. Marianne Lacroix and her husband collect contemporary art, and designer furniture and beautiful works of art by well-known and less-well-known contemporary artists are scattered here and there throughout the house. Breakfast is served on a large table in the dining room, which is separated from the kitchen by superb sliding panels by Buren. There is also a lounge with a patio lit by a large lightwell and a garden with a terrace and a pond. The guest bedrooms are on the second floor. They are cosy and decorated with brightly-coloured African ornaments, and share a bathroom and separate toilet. The breakfasts are somewhat surprising and based on a living blend of organic products, fruit juice, vegetables and herbs, for instance Moroccan pancakes and date soup.
