Bed and breakfast

Damme is like a miniature version of Flanders: every stone of its buildings could tell the story of the Middle Ages and its splendid Burgundian history. This delightful small town is well and truly on the gastronomic map, but, strangely, there are very few places to stay there. "The Nightingale" is thus even more of a find. Stephan and Lina offer two guest bedrooms in their traditional farmhouse set amid the polders a stone's throw from Damme. On the ground floor, the pink "Garden" room overlooks the garden and is the largest. The other room, upstairs, "Dammekamer" is just as comfortable and has a small bathroom. The copious breakfasts include fresh fruit juice, home-made jams, Damme cheese and eggs from the hens in the garden. They are served in the pretty kitchen or on the terrace in the warmer months. You can also enjoy the lounge with fireplace, the large garden and heated pool. A friendly place where you will be really warmly welcomed by convivial hosts.
