Bed and breakfast
This pretty eighteenth-century farmhouse with its Mansard roof is surrounded by a typical "polder" landscape of meadows and willow hedges. The rustic guest bedrooms have wooden or quarry-tiled floors and coffered ceilings with huge oak beams. They are delightfully furnished and decorated and are heated by radiators or wood-burning stoves. Marc Nyssen is well-known for the quality of his cooking and is happy to prepare meals for his guests on request using fresh, local farm produce, including organic meat. Marc manages to combine running an organic farm, welcoming his guests, cooking meals, doing the housekeeping and continuing the restoration of the building, all on his own ! Meals are served in the large, warm dining room that looks like something from a Breughel painting, with its open fire and long wooden tables. Guests who love nature and authenticity will enjoy an understated and sensitive welcome from the owner.
