Bed and breakfast
You could not dream of a better-situated place in Ghent! Opposite the Count's castle, with the River Lys flowing behind it, this beautiful eighteenth-century townhouse was built on the site of a church, of which some remains can still be seen on the walls of the courtyard. For more than 150 years, the building was occupied by the famous restaurant "Waterzooi", whose name has been retained by the B&B. The renovation work is impressive, and the new owners have created a superb new building. Guests arrive in a pretty entrance hall decorated with old engravings. Then there is the guests' lounge and the dining room with its large dining table, which opens onto the courtyard, where the copious and carefully-prepared breakfasts are served. Upstairs are two large, beautiful suites. The "Félix" suite, named after the restaurant's owner, includes a lounge overlooking the square and the castle with a bar and a bedroom to the rear with a terrace and a bathroom. The "Phara" suite has a lounge with a bar and a TV, a bedroom on a mezzanine, another bedroom, a bathroom and a small terrace. The rooms have been decorated tastefully in shades of grey and with top-quality materials. They have everything you need to ensure your comfort and well-being. A top-of-the range establishment for guests who enjoy luxury and good taste.
