Hotel
Surrounded by fields and orchards, this beautiful traditional-style Hesbaye farmhouse has recently opened as a B&B. Formerly part of the ancient principality of Liège, one of its former owners was Surlet de Choquier, the first Regent of Belgium! Mr & Mrs Lejeune have converted one wing of the house to offer six comfortable guest bedrooms. Each is furnished and decorated in a different style: Louis XIV, Louis XV, Rustic, English, or Colonial. Each bedroom has a huge bathroom decorated in rich materials, including marble, Travertine and blue granite, and bright colours (blue, red, green, etc.) Two of the six rooms are on the ground floor and one of these has been specially adapted for reduced-mobility guests. Breakfast and evening meals are served in the dining area of the huge lounge which overlooks a large terrace and the surrounding countryside beyond. The owners are asparagus farmers and you can taste their produce in the spring, along with other farm produce such as eggs, butter, snails, cheese, fruit syrup, fruit juice and local beer. A lovely place, which is especially pretty to visit in the spring when the fruit trees are in blossom.
