Bed and breakfast

Patricia Baumgartner's pretty B&B in the hamlet of Ichtratzheim is named after two famous types of plums grown in Alsace, quetsches and mirabelles. She is a professional interior designer and obviously enjoyed decorating her B&B, choosing a different colour for each guest bedroom: red for "Douceur pourpre", white for "Rêve blanc" and grey and beige for "Instant nature". She also designed the furniture, ornaments and light-fittings. Breakfast consists of delightful organic treats and is served each morning in the all-white dining room, which overlooks the courtyard, barn, charming flower garden, terrace and vegetable garden. A haven of peace and quiet, a few kilometres from Strasbourg. An ideal place for an "away-from-it-all" short break, a family celebration or an overnight stop on the Alsace-Vosges Wine Route.
