Bed and breakfast
Lozer Castle has belonged to the della Faille family for ten generations and is surrounded by a beautiful deer park with lakes and grazing poneys. The castle's owners have converted part of the outbuildings into a luxurious B&B and an elegant gîte. They have converted the former stables to house a lovely delicatessen shop which sells produce from the local area and elsewhere, including delicious ice cream hand-made by the Baroness! Opposite the shop is the dining room where breakfast is served, including fresh eggs, butter and milk from the castle's farm and fruit and jams from the castle's garden. The five guest bedrooms and the suite are on the first floor, off a pretty corridor with a vaulted ceiling. All the guest rooms overlook the park and the lakes. They are very elegantly decorated with top-quality fabrics and furniture. Each has its own colour scheme and theme: ironwork in the Eiffel room, a bed-canopy in the Baroque room, soft hues in the Zen room, glass in the Murano room and red and black in the Stendhal suite. The Baron and Baroness are leading figures in local society and, after welcoming you to their home, they will be pleased to recommend local restaurants and things to see in Kruishoutem and the surrounding area. A top-quality, calm, country retreat not far from Ghent.
