Bed and breakfast

This pleasant house's charming English-style garden and old garden wall protect it from noise and the gaze of passers-by. Johan Kerckhof recently took over this B&B from his mother and treats his guests like old friends. He often offers his guests coffee or an aperitif in his delightful lounge with its open fireplace, grand piano, antique furniture, piles of magazines and model ships (a family passion). Upstairs are three guest bedrooms, one of which overlooks the garden and has exposed beams, a bookshelf and a wood-burning stove. The two other bedrooms are smaller, and comfortable. All three bedrooms have private bathrooms, which have just been refurbished to offer rain-effect showers. Each bedroom has a small bookshelf with books and magazines, a television and an internet connection. Breakfast is served on the south-facing verandah and includes a selection of breads and cheeses, as well as eggs freshly-laid in the garden!
