Bed and breakfast
Located in the middle of four French départements that attract tourists with their heritage and countryside: Corrèze, Lot, Dordogne and Cantal, is the village of Saint Bazile de Meyssac, surrounded by greenery. "Le Domaine de de la Brunie" overlooks the village and is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful region. Pierre used to be a long-distance sea captain and spent many years in Africa, and now he can tell you all about the history of this house built in the eighteenth century, an eventful era in French history. Having purchased the house, moved in and undertaken extensive renovations, Pierre and Jacqueline Appert explored the surroundings, which conceal several hidden gems: Collanges-la-Rouge, Turenne, Curemonte and Carennac, as well as other better-known attractions such as Rocamadour and Terrasson, few of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France" that are less than 20km away. They welcome their guests to the particularly cosy atmosphere of their B&B, which derives much charm from the old family furniture and refined decoration. The four guest suites and bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and have lovely bathrooms featuring local granite and red hexagonal floor tiles. A stay in the "Coeur" & "Pampilles" bedrooms is a treat for your eyes, for from dawn to dusk you will enjoy a superb view of the village and the valleys of the Corrèze countryside. The same comfort and decoration are found in the dining room where breakfast is served. It can also be served outside under a magnificent persimmon tree. A delightful place, to be consumed without moderation.
