Bed and breakfast
"Art'isane" is a mixture of art, travel and nature. The owners have effected a veritable metamorphosis of two old barns into a self-contained holiday cottage, a B&B and their own home. They spent a long time planning the project and chose to use as many natural materials as possible, both in the house and the garden. Today, each morning, vegetables from the organic vegetable garden are served with fresh local cheeses and cooked meats at the large dining table, accompanied by traditional breads, yogurt, home-made fresh cheese, brownies and crumble...a veritable brunch which will set you up for the day! As for the guest bedrooms, you will travel from India (the ocre "Nilgiri" room) to Africa (the saffron "Ntattaya" room) to China (the shimmering "Badiane" room) and back to Belgium (the bright red "Poppy" room). All the furnishings are made of natural materials, for example the curtains and bedsheets are linen, the walls are painted with lime distemper and the floorboards are wooden. The decor is completed with a few pretty paintings by local artists and various ornaments picked up by the owners here and there during their travels. There is a small guest lounge downstairs, where you will be warmly welcomed, plus another small lounge upstairs where guests can relax with a cup of tea or coffee or a cold drink. What's more, the surrounding area is full of sporting, tourist and cultural opportunities.
